ABSTRACT
The radon is an important
natural source of radiation on earth. The existence in the hot spring becomes
an issue in environmental and public health concern. In this study, the authors
summarize the existence of radon in hot spring pools in Myanmar, a tropical
country in Indochina. Of the 5 studied hot springs, the contaminated level of
radon is lower than acceptable cut-off level (range 20,000 to 150,000
becquerels m−3). The rate of hot spring that is considered safe from dangerous
unacceptable high radon contamination is 100 %.
