ABSTRACT

In gynecology, endometriosis is an important pathological disorder that can be seen worldwide. It is considered an important public health problem for reproductive age women. Visceral endometriosis is a serious form of endometriosis. Thoracic endometriosis is kind of visceral endometriosis. In this report, the authors present and discuss on a case of a patient who had history of repeated spontaneous pneumothorax and finally gets the diagnosis of thoracic endometrisosis.

ABSTRACT                                                                                           

The radon is an important natural source of radiation on earth. The existence in the hot spring becomes an issue in environmental and public health concern. In this study, the authors summarize the existence of radon in hot spring pools in Myanmar, a tropical country in Indochina. Of the 5 studied hot springs, the contaminated level of radon is lower than acceptable cut-off level (range 20,000 to 150,000 becquerels m−3). The rate of hot spring that is considered safe from dangerous unacceptable high radon contamination is 100 %.

ABSTRACT

In Asia and Oceania, the traditional herbal remedy is widely used and accepted as a primary health care wisdom. Nevertheless, the problem of the uncontrolled non-standard remedy is usually seen. Here, the authors report a case study on severe hypokalemia caused by traditional herbal remedy. This report brings attention to recognize the possible problem of the traditional herbal remedies that exists in several countries.
